Welcome to our weekly edition of AI & Finance™!
Welcome, friends, to another edition of AI & Finance. As artificial intelligence continues to permeate every aspect of the economy-and our daily lives, too-it's interesting to watch how quickly we're already taking it for granted! Whether you're on the phone, or in a drive through, or surfing the internet, it seems like some form of AI is always in your face-but how often do you think about the technology that is interpreting your voice, or offering up suggestions, or re-routing your calls? AI agents are hard at work, even while you wait. While artificial intelligence might already be a given in many parts of society, here at Digital Wealth News we're still in awe of how quickly the world has embraced it-but don't take my word for it... AI agents are designed to interact with their environment, collect and process data, and then use that data to perform tasks to achieve goals set by their end-users. These end users are typically thought of as human, but they do not have to be... CONTINUE HERE

This week's top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came in from the procurement space, where Zip raised $190 million to support its B2B purchasing platform. The next biggest announcement was in the agriculture space, where Carbon Robotics brought in a $70M Series D round. The top five also included companies in the cybersecurity and medtech spaces. Smaller funding raises that did not quite make our top 5 this week included announcements from the proptech, telecommunication and accounting sectors... CONTINUE HERE
With the 16th BRICS summit being held this week in Russia, let's listen to Al and Ivy (AI-generated by Notebook LM) discuss what's at stake. BRICS expansion reflects a growing sentiment among emerging economies that the current global order is outdated and favors Western interests. This dissatisfaction fuels the desire for alternative institutions and power structures. BRICS+ signifies a shift towards a multipolar world, potentially fragmenting the global order into competing blocs. This raises concerns about the effectiveness of multilateral cooperation and institutions like the G20... CONTINUE HERE
