AI&F | WELCOME FROM THE EDITOR

Welcome to our weekly edition of AI & Finance™!

Hello, Friends, here we are at the closing of a pre-holiday week, and it was a big one for artificial intelligence. In fact, as we write this introduction Friday morning, it feels more like an opening than a closure, as if a new AI-defined era is in the midst of dawning. AI's acceleration is on full display in our AI & Finance headline and Top 5 venture capital funding columns. This week, however, we want to make special note of an item in the AI Intelligence Top 10 list that clues us into the idea that this is not just an inflating AI bubble: A report by the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA) finding that generative artificial intelligence is the most rapidly adopted technology in modern history. Three-fifths of U.S. adults have used generative AI, and almost one-fifth of them (17%) are using gen AI on a daily basis. Moreover, approximately two-fifths of U.S. workers are now using generative AI for work, oh! And CCIA said that adoption of generative AI continues to accelerate. We're definitely here for it... AI & FINANCE™ | NEWS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 11/21/25

Artificial intelligence isn't slowing down-it's still accelerating, especially in slow-adopting sectors like the financial services industry. Welcome to a big AI & Finance-big not just in headlines, but in the nature of those headlines. There was a time when our coverage of AI in financial services was thankfully padded by announcements from big multinational companies and energetic startups generating lots of news because they were eager to grow name recognition. Now we're still publishing those types of news items, but they are a minority of the content in AI & Finance. As you'll see from this week's roundup, we have a... CONTINUE HERE

AI EDUCATION | What Is a Boltzmann Machine?

For the last two weeks, we've looked at different types of AI model architecture, starting with diffusion models and then moving to encoders, decoders and the combination of the two. Now it's time to reach back into artificial intelligence's past, nearly four decades, to uncover an early type of generative AI. This week on AI Education, we're going to discuss Boltzmann machines, another type of machine-learning architecture crucial in the development of artificial intelligence technologies. We should keep in mind that Boltzmann machines are not physical devices-rather, they are virtual machines, or software. We've given some breadcrumbs already-a type of machine... CONTINUE HERE

Top 5 VC Deals of the Week in AI (11/21/25)

This week's venture capital funding accelerated anew, with eight transactions in excess of the $100 million threshold and two crossing the billion-dollar mark. The top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from San Francisco-based AI development platform Cursor, which raised $2.3 billion in its latest round. Cursor will use the funds to "increase investment in technical research, product development, and frontier model training - like the recently launched Composer agentic coding model - while also expanding to meet demand from enterprise and Fortune 500 companies, and expand the team across offices in San Francisco and New York City," according to its announcement. Cursor is now valued... CONTINUE HERE

AI INTELLIGENCE Weekly Top 10 11/21/2025

This week in AI delivered sweeping infrastructure moves, deepening ecosystem alliances, and major consumer-scale launches - but also a noticeable shift toward financial and operational restraint. From next-gen chips to retail super-agents and record adoption data, AI's expansion now runs in parallel with tightening capital markets and rising energy bottlenecks. Infrastructure ambitions meet real-world constraints. New hyperscale builds and AI chip lineups highlight accelerating growth, but energy and capital pressures are shaping the pace. Enterprise AI moves from pilots to productivity. Retailers, cloud providers, and corporate operators rolled out embedded agentic tools signaling broader operational adoption. Markets and regulators rethink AI's trajectory. Bond spreads... CONTINUE HERE

WHITEPAPER SPOTLIGHT: AI, Active Management, and the End of Alpha

Matt Tuttle doesn't play by Wall Street's rules-he rewrites them. The CEO and CIO of Tuttle Capital Management has built his career challenging convention, from creating the headline-grabbing Inverse Cramer ETF to designing the H.E.A.T. Formula-Hedge, Edge, Asymmetry, and Themes-a framework for finding opportunity where others see risk. His latest whitepaper, AI, Active Management, and the End of Alpha, captures the next evolution of his contrarian philosophy: the fusion of human insight and machine intelligence. In the piece, Tuttle argues that traditional active management is already obsolete in the era of instant data and machine learning. AI is enabling a... CONTINUE HERE

DWN's Al and Ivy (AI) Podcast, Episode 53 | US Debt Crisis & Crypto as Financial Plan B

In this week's episode of the Al & Ivy (AI) Podcast, the hosts confront a massive - and rapidly growing - financial question: Is America's exploding $38 trillion national debt pushing the country toward a breaking point... and could crypto emerge as a viable alternative? The U.S. debt burden has ballooned to historic levels, raising concerns about fiscal sustainability, inflationary pressures, and the long-term stability of the dollar. But as policymakers stall and deficits widen, a growing chorus of investors is asking whether decentralized digital assets offer a structural escape hatch - or just a speculative distraction. America's national debt now exceeds $38 trillion, fueled by... CONTINUE HERE
