AI&F | WELCOME FROM THE EDITOR

Welcome to our weekly edition of AI & Finance™!

Welcome, friends, to another extra-large AI & Finance, where we're wrapping up another very active week. From the AI & Finance headlines, to our AI Intelligence top 10 and another busy week in venture capital fundraising, there's a lot of spot news to brush up on in this week's newsletter that you'll certainly want to review in order to stay current. This week saw the launch of new AI technology, huge multi-million dollar fundraising announcements, and a surprising concentration of AI wealthtech headlines. However, this week we'd like to turn your attention to the columns and commentary, which also offer valuable, useful knowledge, from a discussion about the benefits and drawbacks of AI openness in our AI Education column, to both a guest column and a whitepaper from wealth management and technology thought leaders, to Al & Ivy's third discussion in a row on monetary policy-we'll stop short of calling it a series-but we will say that it is perhaps their most thought provoking one yet... AI & FINANCE™ | NEWS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 10/24/25

New AI models are coming online every day, and the use of artificial intelligence is expanding and accelerating. Will AI hit a ceiling? Welcome to another AI & Finance, where we have a huge week of artificial intelligence in financial services headlines to review with you, but first, we'd like to consider what, if anything, could bring the momentum behind AI to a grinding halt. No, we're not really talking about market momentum or the inflation of the valuations of AI-related stocks into a bubble, that's a different discussion. We're talking about the development and proliferation of AI technologies. The deflation or popping... CONTINUE HERE

AI EDUCATION | What Is Open-Weight AI?

We tend to think of openness as being good or having utility. You can patronize an open business. You can walk through an open door. You can trust someone who is an open book. But it's not so open-and-shut when it comes to AI, especially in the financial services sector. Welcome to AI Education, where we're going to discuss the topic of openness in AI, specifically, what it means for AI models to be open weight and/or open source. We don't think we can get into this discussion without first talking about openness in software development in general, which is why, in a... CONTINUE HERE

FINTECH VIEWS | Continuous Supervision and the End of Reactive Compliance

Over the next several years, expect to see the industry move further away from reactive compliance and toward timely, more effective supervision. For example, compliance teams that once struggled to reduce false positives will soon enter an era where data can begin to speak up for itself, surfacing risks and patterns that compliance officers may have never imagined. The introduction of artificial intelligence will certainly accelerate this evolution, creating new opportunities to move beyond reaction. We're quickly approaching a future in which surveillance experts can be their most effective. That said, despite significant advances in surveillance systems, leveraging powerful technology isn't enough. Firm... CONTINUE HERE

Top 5 VC Deals of the Week in AI (10/24/25)

This week's venture capital funding announcements cool off only slightly from the space's recent white-hot momentum, with two transactions in excess of the $100 million threshold. The top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from Wilmington, N.C.-based Vantaca, which raised a more-than $300 million round at a $1.25 billion valuation in part to "expand its business reach with the founding management team continuing to lead the company's strategy and operations," according to the community-management platform's announcement. A community association management platform handles many, if not all, of the operations side of homeowners' and condominium associations. Our second announcement comes from the business AI space... DWN's Al and Ivy (AI) Podcast, Episode 49 | America's Pivot - Gold Reserves to Bitcoin

In this week's Al & Ivy (AI) Podcast, the hosts tackle one of the most explosive claims shaking global markets - that the U.S. government may sell part of its gold reserves and invest up to $600 billion in Bitcoin. The revelation, attributed to Pantera Capital CEO Dan Morehead, has sparked intense speculation about whether Washington is preparing for a historic pivot from traditional hard assets to digital reserves. Al and Ivy unpack how this potential reallocation - still unconfirmed by the Treasury or Federal Reserve - could represent the most radical monetary shift since the U.S. abandoned the gold standard in 1971. With 261 million... CONTINUE HERE
