Welcome to our weekly edition of AI & Finance™!
Hello friends, and welcome to another recap of another big week for financial artificial intelligence-and yet another week where the "b" word has come up in market headlines regarding AI. The "b" word in this case is bubble. We definitely think a market bubble has formed around AI, the only questions remaining are how big, when it will pop, and how big the eventual pop is going to be. This week's newsletter doesn't answer these questions, but it does provide a good deal of insight into financial AI, from another long list of AI & Finance headlines, to an AI Education discussion on foundation models, AI headlines around law, infrastructure and safety in our AI Intelligence column and a strong week in AI fundraising in our Top 5 VC Deals column. Al & Ivy wrap things up this time around by comparing and contrasting the top nine large language models for their listeners... CHECK IT ALL OUT BELOW!

AI hostility is everywhere these days, especially on social media. Hello once again, we're going to get to a 7,000-word rundown of AI & Finance headlines in just a moment, but first, we're going to address that not everyone is as positive and optimistic about artificial intelligence as we are. For background, we're an artsy person, we were educated in our grade school years in arts-oriented schools, we married an artsy spouse, and a lot of the friends we actually still pay attention to on social media (on the rare occasion that we make our way to that particular back alleyway of the ... We love a good multi-tool. That makes us sound handier than we are-actually, our wife is the "Mrs. Fix-It" in the relationship-but multi-tools, tools that combine two or more tools into one, are cool-like a Leatherman set of pliers or the more commonly known Swiss Army Knife. Welcome to AI education, where we're going to discuss how gigantic AI multitools called foundation models not only offer us general-purpose artificial intelligence, but are also being used to help build and train more specifically applied tools. Foundation models are trained from very large datasets in order to accomplish a broad range of... CONTINUE HERE

Challenges abound for the modern RIA or family office grappling with rising client expectations. With consumer-facing technology available at investors' fingertips, today's financial advisors are tackling a broad set of questions. In this week's Al & Ivy spotlight, the duo dives into the fast-moving world of large language models - the engines behind today's AI boom. Drawing from Shakudo's latest report, "Top 9 Large Language Models (2025 Edition)", they unpack which models are leading, where innovation is headed, and what it all means for developers and enterprises. From OpenAI's GPT-5 and Anthropic's Claude 4 to DeepSeek V3, Llama 4, and Gemini 2.5, Al & Ivy highlight how each balances scale, openness, and multimodal smarts. The takeaway: no single model reigns supreme. The "best" choice depends on cost, licensing, and how deeply you need your AI... CONTINUE HERE
