Welcome to our weekly edition of AI & Finance™!
Hello, friends, welcome to another active week for artificial intelligence and financial services news, and as a result we have a lot to share with you. Before we write these introductions, we always conduct a final sweep through the week's AI headlines in other publications, and what we find is a lot of hype. AI is coming for all the jobs. AI is a global arms race. AI is an investment rocket ship. AI is a bubble of legendary proportions ready to pop. And so on. Well, a good look at this week's newsletter shows that it's definitely not all hype. From the AI & Finance headlines, through a huge week for venture capital announcements and down to an exhausting AI Intelligence roundup, there's a lot to take in-and don't forget to juice your AI knowledge with the AI Regs & Risks and AI Education columns, not to mention Al & Ivy's latest AI-generated chat, which stays close to last week's discussion on monetary policy... CHECK IT ALL OUT BELOW!

So long, uniculture. Welcome to AI & Finance, where there's a heap of AI & Finance news to get to once again, including a few choice items impacting the world of wealth management. First, though, we'd like to dive a little deeper again into our discussions of authenticity in technology and financial services. The uniculture is a neologism for the mass culture of the 20th and early 21st centuries, driven by production and publishing on a national, international and global scale. Everything from the pop music we talked about last week to Disney cartoons and blockbuster films to the magazines and bestsellers at... CONTINUE HERE

OpenAI has begun publishing practical playbooks and training programs to lower the barriers, demystify the process, and help leaders build confidence that AI can be adopted responsibly and effectively at scale. While their latest guidance is obviously self-serving, it also addresses a very real economic problem: most companies don't know how to adopt AI safely or effectively. The stakes are bigger than any one vendor's market share. As AI spreads, the challenge is to make sure the benefits aren't confined to Silicon Valley or tech departments, but flow through the wider economy. That means helping mid-sized and large organizations build AI fluency, ensuring... CONTINUE HERE

There's a fire burning in our education system-while our attention has been on politics and conflicts and tariffs and protests and so on, the decline in educational outcomes among American students has continued. Artificial intelligence to the rescue! In this edition of AI Education, we're going to talk about artificial intelligence in education, a topic we addressed about a year ago shortly after taking the reins on this column, but this week we're going to specifically address AI adaptive education. The how we got here is pretty self evident, as it is September and children everywhere are back to school. Overall, our... CONTINUE HERE

This week's venture capital funding announcements exceeded our expectations, led by six or seven transactions, depending on how you figure them, which exceed the $100 million threshold. The top reported deal, per FinSMEs, came from San Francisco-based Replit, which raised a $250 million round in part to "scale operations, accelerate product development, and global expansion," according to its announcement. Our second-place announcement comes from the AI robotics space, where Dyna Robotics, based in Redwood City, Calif., brought in a $120 million Series A. The top five also included companies in the enterprise AI, cybersecurity and materials science sectors. This is an unusual week... CONTINUE HERE

This week AI showed both its cracks and its catalytic power-legal blowups, creator economy rewrites, and warnings of an overhyped ecosystem clashing with cultural innovation. The mix: lawsuits over content, media giants betting big on AI tools, and rising chorus that the AI bubble might be both inevitable-and necessary. Penske (owner of Rolling Stone, Billboard, etc.) sued Google over its "AI Overviews," arguing that summaries in search result panels are diverting traffic and squeezing ad and affiliate revenue. YouTube, now surpassing legacy media in reach, unveiled a raft of AI tools to help creators automate editing, convert speech to song, embed... CONTINUE HERE

In this week's podcast, Al & Ivy explore the evolving landscape of global finance-drawing on insights from DeVere Group's recent report "AI, ETFs, and the Future of Wealth Management" and Forbes' feature "Fintech Innovation Reshaping Investment Strategies." Together, they unpack how artificial intelligence, exchange-traded funds, and emerging fintech platforms are transforming investor behavior, market access, and the broader wealth management ecosystem. The provided text examines the potential for the U.S. dollar to be devalued under a second Trump administration, despite initial market predictions of a stronger dollar. It explores the historical context of devaluation efforts, such as the Plaza Accord, and discusses... CONTINUE HERE
